Quantitative Research Engineer

Responsibilities
As a Research Engineer at Omnitra LLC, you will play a central role in developing the core infrastructure that powers our event-driven trading strategies. You will design and implement data pipelines, inference systems, and analytical platforms that ensure our trading models are informed by clean, reliable, and well-structured data.
Design, create, automate, and maintain custom data pipelines.
Build and maintain RAG and LLM systems.
Develop high-performance schemas and queries.
Set up data checks and alerts to identify data quality issues.
Set up data lineage.
Set up analytical infrastructure to support dataset exploration and visualization.
Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Computer Engineering or Science curriculum.
Strong technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills.
Experience with large-scale cloud development of applications as a service.
Prior ownership of a data project.
Experience with ETL development.
Experience with data manipulation, query design, and optimization.
Strong coding skills, including proficiency in Python, SQL databases, graph databases, cloud platforms, schedulers, containers, CI/CD, and software packaging.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with researchers, data vendors, quantitative analysts, and other stakeholders.
