Responsibilities

As a Research Engineer at Omnitra LLC, you will play a central role in developing the core infrastructure that powers our event-driven trading strategies. You will design and implement data pipelines, inference systems, and analytical platforms that ensure our trading models are informed by clean, reliable, and well-structured data.

  • Design, create, automate, and maintain custom data pipelines.

  • Build and maintain RAG and LLM systems.

  • Develop high-performance schemas and queries.

  • Set up data checks and alerts to identify data quality issues.

  • Set up data lineage.

  • Set up analytical infrastructure to support dataset exploration and visualization.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Computer Engineering or Science curriculum.

  • Strong technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with large-scale cloud development of applications as a service.

  • Prior ownership of a data project.

  • Experience with ETL development.

  • Experience with data manipulation, query design, and optimization.

  • Strong coding skills, including proficiency in Python, SQL databases, graph databases, cloud platforms, schedulers, containers, CI/CD, and software packaging.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with researchers, data vendors, quantitative analysts, and other stakeholders.
